Woman time is over

I wondered whether it would happen, that the two morning papers publish the same letter, when lo!: here in the Observer and here in the Gleaner.

It’s interesting to note the difference between the texts in the last sentence. My bet is she wrote the Gleaner letter first, then edited it for the Observer. In both cases, however, the message is clear: the much-repeated “woman time” at the beginning of Portia Simpson Miller’s rule is over. It’s time for something else.

But what?

I could come up with a few choice suggestions… but I would not be making any friends with them.

I am sorely disappointed tho – I was one of those with high hopes for Portia. Guess I was grossly wrong too. *sigh*
